As the MBTA conducts routine maintenance and signal work in support of Positive Train Control (PTC), a federally mandated safety system, bus shuttles will replace service on the Needham Line Commuter Rail on the following days:
- Saturday, June 1
- Sunday, June 2
- Saturday, June 8
- Sunday, June 9
- Thursday, June 28
- Friday, June 29
- Saturday, June 30
- Sunday, July 1
This will impact both inbound and outbound commuter rail service between Needham Heights and South Station. The shuttle bus service will run between Needham Heights and Forest Hills on these days with stops at or in close proximity to the Needham commuter rail stations which will be visibly marked with signage.
