We are expecting extreme heat and humidity this week, with temperatures in the 90’s Tuesday through Friday! The Town of Needham and the Charles River YMCA have announced the following facilities are available to residents who are looking for a place to stay cool:
- Tuesday: Center at the Heights (Senior Center) 8:30am-8:00pm, Needham Library 9am-9pm, YMCA 5:30am-9pm
- Wednesday: YMCA 5:30am-9:00pm, Town Buildings are closed
- Thursday: Center at the Heights (Senior Center) 8:30am-8:00pm, Needham Library 9am-9pm, YMCA 5:30am-9pm
- Friday: Center at the Heights (Senior Center) 8:30am-3:00pm, Needham Library 9am-5:30pm, YMCA 5:30am-9pm
The Splash Pad at Rosemary Recreation Complex will be open 8:30am-7pm this week and is available to all residents and does not require a pool membership.

Call the Public Health Division at 781-455-7940 during business hours if you have concerns about yourself or someone you know during this extreme heat, including a need for transportation to a place to stay cool. After hours, call the police non-emergency line at 781-455-7570 or 9-1-1 in the case of a heat emergency.
