To provide every resident the opportunity to provide specific feedback on Needham Center’s future design, the Town invites you to participate in a self-guided walking tour of the Envision Needham Center project area from now through February 28th.
To participate:
• Just visit Needham Center, find the sign boards on the sidewalk along Great Plain Avenue. Scan the QR code on any of the boards and answer questions in an online survey at any or all of the ten stops. You may also access the survey here.
• Stop Number 1 begins at the Town Common. Stops 2-10 bring you along Great Plain Avenue, with a final observational stop at the new mural in the alley between the MBTA station and Chapel Street.

About Envision Needham Center:
Building on over a decade of studies, assessments, and construction projects, the Town of Needham is beginning to embark on the next phase to transform Needham Center by repurposing space within the public realm to stimulate economic development and create a vibrant, sustainable, and resilient destination for current and future residents and visitors.
The Town has contracted with Apex to develop the design for Phase II of the Needham Center Redesign, “Envision Needham Center”. To solicit input from residents and stakeholders to help shape the design, the Town, along with members of the working group and Apex, hosted four well-attended guided walking tours of Needham Center on February 6th and 10th. The tours helped the team gather feedback on various aspects of the downtown including walkability, accessibility, bike access, pedestrian safety, parking, outdoor dining, drivability and more.
More information on Envision Needham Center can be found on the Project Website.
