The Select Board has approved new hours for the Recycling and Transfer Station (RTS), starting September 1st. The new year-round schedule will be:
- Tuesday: 7 am - 4 pm
- Wednesday: 7 am - 4 pm
- Thursday: 7 am - 4 pm
- Friday: 7 am - 12 pm
- Saturday: 7 am - 4 pm
Here’s what these changes mean for you:
- Extra Morning Time: You’ll now have an additional 30 minutes for morning drop-offs as the RTS will open at 7 am.
- Consistent Hours Year-round: No more seasonal changes, this schedule will stay the same throughout the year.
- Regular Access: The RTS will be open for 41 hours per week for public use.
- Reliable Staffing: Recruiting and retaining Town employees is essential to delivering effective municipal services to residents, including the operation of the RTS. This updated schedule aims to promote long-term retention of Department of Public Works employees, in line with several other Town departments, which observe a shortened day on Fridays.

Until September 1st, the RTS will continue to operate under the following schedule:
- Tuesday: 7:30 am - 4 pm
- Wednesday: 7:30 am - 4 pm
- Thursday: 7:30 am - 4 pm
- Friday: 7:30 am - 12 pm
- Saturday: 7:30 am - 4 pm
