The purpose of this Public Hearing is for the Board of Health of the Town of Needham, County of Norfolk, Massachusetts, acting under the authority of Chapter 111, Section 31 of the Massachusetts General Laws, to consider substantial revisions to the following:
Revise Article 3, Public Nuisance; this regulation was last revised in January 2005. Rescind Article 6, Offensive Trades, Occupations and Practices. And revise Article 7, Body Art Establishments & Practitioners, this regulation was last revised in October 2023.
The proposed amendments update references and citations to ensure the regulation complies with the latest local, state, and federal statutes and regulations. The amendments also include edits and revisions to support inclusivity and accessibility, including the use of gender-neutral language. The proposed changes will also result in the rescission of Article 6: Offensive Trades, Occupations, and Practices, and the incorporation of sections of that regulation within the text of Article 3: Public Nuisance.
These proposed revisions, rescissions, and additions to the above-named regulations shall be considered in Needham in the interest of, and for the preservation of, the public health. This summary shall serve as notice to all.
