These indoor facilities are open to residents who are looking for a place to keep cool during extremely high temperatures and humidity this summer:
Center at the Heights (Senior Center)
- Mon & Wed: 8:30 am-5 pm
- Tues & Thur: 8:30 am-8 pm
- Fri 8:30: am-4 pm
Needham Public Library
- Mon-Thur: 9 am-9 pm
- Fri: 9 am-5:30 pm
- Sat: 9 am-5 pm
- Sun: 1-5 pm
Charles River YMCA
- Mon-Fri: 5:30 am-9 pm
- Sat & Sun: 7 am-5 pm
The Splash Pad at Rosemary Recreation Complex is open 10 am - 6 pm seven days a week. It is free to all residents and does not require a pool membership.
Through June 29th, the Pools at Rosemary are open Monday through Friday for Lap Swim/Water Walking from 7-10 am and for Open Swim from 12:30-7:30 pm. It is open on Saturdays and Sundays for Open Swim: 10 am-6 pm.

Call the Public Health Division at 781-455-7940 during business hours if you have concerns about yourself or someone you know during the extreme heat, including a need for transportation to a place to stay cool. After hours, call the Needham Police Department's non-emergency line at 781-455-7570 or call 9-1-1 in the case of a heat emergency.
