The Needham Police Department and the Needham Fire Department will host a Joint Open House on Saturday, November 1st from 10 am-2 pm at the Public Safety Building at 88 Chestnut Street.
Some highlights include:
- Tour both sides of the station
- Get a closeup look at police cruisers and fire trucks
- Visit with Babson College Police, the Norfolk County Command post, the Mobile Health Unit and Boston Med Flight
- Enjoy free pizza, popcorn and hot dogs
- Say hi to Officer Rocket, K9 Ghost and Sparky the Fire Dog
- Learn how to perform CPR from Needham Public Health
- Ask lots of questions!
The Open House will also kick off the departments’ annual Toys for Tots collection. Bring a new unwrapped toy and take a picture with Santa! NFD will also be raising funds for “Shop with a First Responder” with their Pumpkin Smash! Take your turn smashing pumpkins firefighter style! Cost is $5 donation when you bring your own pumpkin and $10 for a pumpkin donated by Volante Farms (all pumpkins will be brought to composting locations after the event).
