prior to meetings for changes in meeting times or place
Committee meetings are filed with the town clerk in accordance with the
Massachusetts Open Meeting Laws. In order to hold a public meeting the
notice must be filed with the town clerk. All committee meetings will
be posted by the town clerk on the town's website under the
calendar.
Agendas & Minutes
The Solar Exploratory Committee meeting agenda will be part of
the public meeting notice that is posted by the town clerk on the town
website.
Members
The Exploratory Committee shall consist of seven members. When practical, the committe should include members with expertise in
alternative energy and energy facility installation. The superintendent of solid waste and recycling shall be an additional ex-officio and non-voting member of the committee.

General Purpose
The charge of the Solar Exploratory Committee is to evaluate and report
to the selectmen options for installing solar energy technology at
Needham’s former town landfill on Central Avenue, as well as
consideration of the potential of other town-owned sites.
