Mobile Food Vendor Permit

Whether you've been invited to vend at a special event or are looking to operate regularly in Needham, permits are required.

There are three departments involved in the permitting of Mobile Food Vendors:

1. Select Board (service in a public way/on public property, subject to Mobile Food Vendor Policy)
2. Health Division (food plan review and inspection of vehicle) 
3. Fire Department (inspection of vehicle) 

Step 1:

Apply for a permit from the Board of Health, which will also coordinate approval with the Fire Department. 

Step 2:

If you are planning to serve from a public way or on public property, apply for a license/permit from the Select Board.
