Purple Heart Community

Board of Selectmen present Matt Ching with Purple Heart Proclamation At its meeting of July 21, 2015 the Board of Selectmen were presented the Certificate of Acknowledgement by the Department of Massachusetts Combat Wounded Veterans Military Order of the Purple Heart which designates the Town of Needham to be known as the Purple Heart Community.

As part of a continued effort to honor the men and women of the Town of Needham who have

served bravely in the Armed Forces, the Board of Selectmen proclaimed Needham as a Purple Heart Community and have designated August 7th as Purple Heart Day in the Town of Needham.
