Week of March 30, 2020: 

  • Crews continued pre-construction activities on South Street and High Rock Street in preparation for excavation activities. Road closures and traffic detours will be in place.

Weeks of December 23 and 30, 2019:

  • Construction crews will be removing materials from the construction work area located at the end of Valley Road in preparation for the winter season.

Week of December 16, 2019:

  • On Valley Road between Norwich Road and Peacedale Road, crews will continue to install duct bank, which houses electric cable. The road will be closed except to local traffic.
  • On Peacedale Road near the entrance to Great Plain Avenue, construction crews will mobilize to continue duct bank excavation. The entrance on Great Plain will be closed during this work.

Week of December 9, 2019: 

  • On Valley Road between Norwich Road and Peacedale Road, crews continued to install duct bank, which houses electric cable. The road was closed except to local traffic.
  • On Peacedale Road between Norwich Road and Intervale Road, crews realigned a stormwater drain near a newly installed manhole. The road was closed except for local traffic.

Week of December 2, 2019:

  • On Valley Road between Norwich Road and Peacedale Road, crews will continue to install duct bank, which houses electric cable. The road will be closed except to local traffic.

Week of November 25, 2019:

  • On Peacedale Road between Norwich Road and Intervale Road, crews will work on realigning a stormwater drain near a newly installed manhole. The road will be closed except for local traffic.
  • On Valley Road between Norwich Road and Peacedale Road, crews will continue to install duct bank, which houses electric cable. The road will be closed except to local traffic.

Week of November 18, 2019:

  • On Peacedale Road between Great Plain Avenue and Valley Road, crews will begin to transition water service from the temporary water main to the new, underground water main. Peacedale Road will be closed except to local traffic.
  • On Valley Road between Norwich Road and Peacedale Road, crews will continue to install duct bank, which houses electric cable. The road will be closed except to local traffic.

Week of November 11, 2019:

  • On Peacedale Road between Intervale Road and Valley Road, crews will continue to install an underground watermain, in support of project work. The road will be closed except to local traffic.
  • On Valley Road between Norwich Road and Peacedale Road, crews will continue to install duct bank, which houses electric cable. The road will be closed except to local traffic.

  • On Peacedale Road between Sterling Road and Intervale Road, crews will continue to install duct bank, which houses electric cable. The road will be closed except to local traffic. Crews will work at this location on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • On South Street between Dedham Avenue and Livingston Circle, crews will continue to install a manhole, a precast concrete vault. The road will be closed and there will be a detour during working hours.
  • On South Street between Lawton Road and Longacre Road, crews will return to install duct bank, which houses electric cable. The road will be closed and there will be a detour in place during working hours.

Week of October 8, 2018:

  • On High Rock Street (between the MBTA corridor and Emerson Road), crews will continue excavation for the duct bank, which houses electric cables. There will be a single lane closure, resulting in alternating traffic patterns.
  • On Valley Road, crews will begin excavation for the duct bank, which houses electric cables. The road will be closed except for local traffic.
  • On the right of way (power line corridor) off Valley Road, crews will install foundations and begin delivering and constructing new single-pole steel structures.

Week of October 1, 2018:

  • On High Rock Street (between the MBTA corridor and Emerson Road), crews continued excavation for the duct bank, which houses electric cables.
  • On South Street (between Livingston Circle and South Court), excavation continued to determine the presence of underground utilities.
  • On South Street (between Webster Street and Warren Street), crews continued installing a manhole (a pre-cast concrete vault).
  • In Cutler Park, crews continued installing foundations. The portion of the Blue Heron Trail that crosses the MBTA right of way will be closed through early December, due to construction.

  • On the MBTA right of way (power line corridor) off High Rock Street, crews will continue to excavate for the duct bank, which houses electric cables.
  • On High Rock Street, crews will begin excavation for the duct bank. There will be a single lane of closure, resulting in alternating traffic patterns.
  • On Valley Road, crews will begin excavation for the duct bank. The road will be closed except for local traffic. (pending DPW review of new alignment)
  • On the right of way off Valley Road, crews will continue with vegetation removal, placement of temporary construction matting, and foundation installation.

  • On High Rock Street, crews will begin excavation for the duct bank. A duct bank houses electric cables. There will be a single lane of closure resulting in alternating traffic patterns.
  • On South Street, crews will continue to excavate to determine the presence of underground utilities. There will be a single lane of closure resulting in alternating traffic patterns.
  • On the right of way off Valley Road, crews will continue with vegetation removal, placement for temporary construction matting and begin foundation installation.
  • In Cutler Park, crews will begin foundation installation. The portion of the Blue Heron trail traversing the MBTA right of way will be closed through early December due to construction.

  • Crews will continue excavation for the duct bank within the MBTA right of way off High Rock Street and begin excavation of the duct bank on High Rock Street. A duct bank houses electric cables. There will be a single lane closure resulting in alternating traffic patterns.
  • Crews will continue to install erosion controls in Cutler Park and continue vegetation removal and placement of temporary construction matting within the work area and to establish a safe work area.
  • Crews will continue to deliver materials to the right of way off Valley Road.
  • Crews will begin vegetation removal along the right of way off Valley Road.
  • Crews will continue excavation to determine the presence of underground utilities on South Street. There will be a single lane of closure resulting in alternating traffic patterns.

  • Crews will continue excavation for the duct bank within the MBTA right of way off High Rock Street. A duct bank houses electric cables.
  • Crews will continue to install erosion controls in Cutler Park and begin vegetation removal and placement of temporary construction matting within the work area.
  • Crews will continue excavation to determine the presence of underground utilities on Valley Road and Peacedale Road and will be delivering construction materials to the right of way off Valley Road.   • Crews will begin to install erosion controls in Cutler Park.  

Week of August 13, 2018:(received 8/10/18 1:17 p.m.)

  • Crews will begin excavation work for placing a man-hole with-in the MBTA right-of-way off High Rock Street. 

Week of August 6, 2018: (received 8/3/18 9:16 a.m.)

  • Crews will continue survey work along the Project route and will be working in the MBTA right of way off High Rock Street to determine the presence of other underground utilities.
  • Crews will also continue installation of a temporary right of way access road, installation of erosion control measures and staging storage bins for upcoming work.
