Park & Recreation

04/02/2020 - Parks and Fields:
In addition to the closure of all public playgrounds and fields, as of April 1st all Tennis courts are closed. Social distancing is still being enforced as is the stay-at-home advisory. If you have to go out, remain at least 6 feet away from others.

We understand, especially with children at home, that people want to spend time outdoors. Trails are still open for your enjoyment. Please still follow social distancing guidelines. Trail maps can be found at:

04/07/2020 - Summer Volunteer Program:
Considering the current guidance from Governor Baker, our 2020 Summer Volunteer registration has been POSTPONED. Currently with all the uncertainty, the Park and Recreation team feels that postponing the registration for this program is in the best interest of the participants of our programs, our staff and our volunteers.

Another update will be provided the week of April 20th. This update may include any changes that will be made to our program as well as our new registration date, if that information is available.

We at Park and Recreation hope that all of our families and friends in Needham are doing well and staying healthy.

Should you have any questions, please email

Stay well everyone –

Your Park and Recreation Team
