Bereavement Caring Circle

Losing a loved one is something that affects everyone. No one should have to go through this alone. The Center's social work team offers this comforting support group to help ease the pain of loss and promote healing. For more information, contact Jill McGovern, CMC at 781-455-7555, ext. 224 or

The Caregiver Group

The Needham Council on Aging offers a support group for anyone providing care and assistance to a relative, spouse, or friend. The group meets the second Monday (unless Monday is a holiday) of the month 4:00-5:00 P.M. For more information, contact Kerrie Cusack, LCSW at 781-455-7555 ext. 205 or

Low Vision Support Group

The Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired offers a monthly low vision support group at the Center at the Heights. The group provides practical and emotional support to individuals coping with serious sight loss. The group provides the opportunity for participants to share fears, frustrations, coping mechanisms, and resources as their vision changes. There are additional support groups located in communities throughout Massachusetts. Many are led by visually impaired peer coordinators. For more information call 781-455-7555.

Group Goal

The goal of the Low Vision Support Group is to provide an opportunity for newly blind as well as visually impaired persons to come together to discuss issues relating to their vision loss, and to focus on topics such as: aging and vision loss,  how to maintain independence, specialized equipment to use in the home or on the job and the effects of vision loss on family and friends

Clutter Support Group

The Clutter Support Group meets on Mondays at 1:00-3:00 PM at the Center at The Heights. Come find support and learn how to best help yourself, a family member or friend address the cluttering problem.
